Marianne stayed with the Roostees* for most of the time, but when the situation became too perilous she moved to other families. One such family was the Gerrits family of Arnhem, Gelderland. They too contributed to keeping Marianne safe. On May 11, 1980, Yad Vashem recognized Henk Gerrits and his wife, Cornelia Gerrits-Rietbergen, as Righteous Among the Nations. |
