She was married to a Jewish man, Fred Polak, with whom she had three children. Her husband and children were hidden by Marion van Binsbergen (later Pritchard)* in Huizen and assisted by Mrs. Buys* and Mrs. van der Gon-Netscher*. After the war, the Dutch government honored Edwina for her wartime efforts, including the rescue of her own family and many other people. On March 31, 1981, Yad Vashem recognized Edwina Louise Moor-Polak as Righteous Among the Nations. In 1962-1963 kwam ze in het nieuws, nadat ze eerst een Duitse honderopkoper een klap had gegeven en daarna in groot artikel in De Telegraaf protesteerde tegen de export van Nederlandse honden en katten naar Duitsland, die aldaar voor vivisectie gebruikt werden. Ze bleef tot tenminste in 1966 actie voeren tegen vivisectie.
